Robert Wayne Oran ("Robbie"), 74, entered his Heavenly Home on March 30, 2026, surrounded by family and friends.
Robbie was born on May 30, 1951, in Weatherford, Texas to his parents, Bob Oran & Juanita Johnson Crim.
He met Renee' (Trussell) Oran while he worked the butcher counter at Neeleys' Food Market in River Oaks, Texas. Soon after being married on June 26, 1970, at Beach Street Baptist Church, they moved to Azle and began building a home and family.
He began a career at General Dynamics (Lockheed Martin) in 1980, as an aircraft assembler, where he retired after 35 years of service. He ran a home-based business for small engine repairs.
He was a Mason, member of Lake Worth Lodge # 1410 and a Shrine. He was also a member of The Order of the Eastern Star, North Fort Worth Chapter #684.
Service and dedication to his family was without a doubt his biggest virtue. Family vacations were important for him to create memories with family every summer. You could always find him outside under the carport where he would be tinkering with his lawnmowers and weed eaters, or under the hood of his truck "Ole' Blue", or getting the trout lines ready for the lake, listening to his classic rock 'n roll. He was a great cook and enjoyed cooking meat on his smoker later mastering the skill to gain the title "Short order chef" from his work, church, or any big event where he provided with pride and confidence.
He loved the Lord and received a profession of faith when he was 12 years old at Inspiration Baptist Church. He was a member of Solid Rock Bible Church, where he was a door greeter and faithful servant. Even though he was a quiet man, when he spoke, he had solid wisdom and you took his word "to the bank".
Robbie is proceeded in death by his parents, his loving wife of 49 years, Renee Oran; and Daughter, Rebecca Mitchell, of Azle, Texas. Survived by his son, Robert Oran of Mexico City, Mexico; his daughter, Rhonda Holder and husband, Rodney of Azle, Texas; his son, Jason Oran and wife, Renee of Azle, Texas. Also survived by his eight grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, and Jake his chocolate lab.
Visitation will take place on Monday, April 06, 2026, beginning at 12:00 PM at Azle and Lake Worth Funeral Home followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. The address for the visitation and funeral is 850 North Cardinal Road, Azle, Texas 76020. A graveside committal will follow the funeral service at Azle land Cemetery. Sam Wethington will officiate the services. The impact he had on many people's lives will never be forgotten.
