On February 5. 2021, the world lost a larger than life, crazy, loving, inspiring, and brilliant man, Robert K. Meharey.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2021, at Azleland Cemetery & Memorial Park beginning at 10:00 AM.

Robert was born on August 26, 1936 in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania.  He proudly served our country for twenty-seven years in the Air Force before retiring as a Master Sargent E7.  On February 28, 1962, Bob married the love of his life, Gail Joyce Cable.  During their marriage, they raised their children in a loving home.  Gail's brother, as a child, forced himself into their family, but Bob never complained once.  He stepped up as a father figure and in the meantime, came to love him as his own.  Bob had a giving heart and would help anyone in need and would give the shirt off his back if necessary; no task was ever to big or small.  He was well loved around the world, having friends and family from all over.  Bob was delighted to be a father, but his heart was truly filled when he earned the title "Grandpa."  He was an awesome grandpa and great grandpa to three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  Bob's passing has left an empty space in our hearts and we, as a family, know he will never be replaced.

Robert is reunited with his children, AJ and Paula Meharey; mother, Elizabeth Meharey; and brother, Richard Meharey, in God's Eternal Home.

He will be deeply and lovingly missed by his wife of 58 years, Gail Meharey; son, Robert Meharey and Amber; grandchildren, Thomas Meharey and wife Cory, Richard Meharey and wife Samantha, and Brittney Meharey; great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Addy, Ezra, Rainey, and Aurora Meharey; and an extremely grateful nation that honors his service.
