Robert Jessie Hatten Jr.

Robert Jesse Hatten, Jr passed away at his home in Azle, Texas, April 22, 2026. Born October 4, 1958 in New Orleans, he was the only son of Robert and Elna Hatten. After the family relocated to Tx in 1969, Robert attended Azle schools and played sports through high school. He spent many years as an electrician before retiring as a tow truck operator. Robert received a cancer diagnosis in June 2024. His happiest days were spent with his family and adoring nieces and nephews, earning him the nicknames "Sharptooth" and "Funcle" Robert. Preceded in death by his father, Robert Hatten, Sr. Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Elna Wilson, sisters Debbie Diffie (John), Cathy Edwards (Tom), Carol Hatten-Holmes (David), and nieces & nephews: Amanda & Johnny Moore (Gamble, Cash, & Case), Alanna & Aaron Stanford, Shea & Kelsey Diffie (Beau, Brock, & Brice), Brenna & Jonathan Brown (Xzavier, Madison, & Payton), Bailey & Aaron Copeland. Robert was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A visitation will be held on April 24th from 2-3 PM at Azle & Lake Worth Funeral home, and his funeral service at 3PM. Burial will follow at Azleland Cemetery.
