Obituary

Ricky Fernando Sanchez was called home to be with his Lord on Tuesday December 29, 2020.

Ricky was born on November 8, 1964 to Peggy Sue Day-Sanchez and Tony Fernando Sanchez in Santa Anna, Texas. He attended Diamond Hill-Jarvis High School and went on to pursue a small business degree at TCJC Northwest. Ricky was proud to be a Father and Grandfather. He greatly enjoyed watching football with his sons, going to the movies with his daughters, and spending all the time he could with his grandchildren. He was also a Godly man, going to church every Sunday and praying for all who came into his life. One of Ricky's major achievements is that on January 16, 2021, Ricky will have been 28 years sober. When Ricky was not working, he could be found at his boxing gym, fishing or grilling.

Ricky worked for the City of Fort Worth in Code Compliance, but his true calling was boxing. Ricky dedicated over 30 years to the boxing community. Ricky founded Diamond Hill and Premier Boxing Club, allowing him to achieve his true calling, to mentor as a boxing coach. Ricky took great pride in his ability to pass on not only boxing skills, but life lessons to all those who mentored with him at Premier Boxing Club.

Ricky has been reunited with his parents, Tony Fernando Sanchez and Peggy Sue Day-Sanchez, and his brother, Tony J. Sanchez.

Ricky will be forever missed by his sons, Christopher Sanchez and Ricky Aaron Sanchez; his daughters, Lydia Sanchez, Miranda Sanchez, and Alyssa Sanchez-Guevara and husband Carlos Guevara Jr.; mother of his children, Cynthia Torres Wallace; his grandchildren, Jayden, Brianna, Emily, Eleanor, Delilah, and Carlos "Chuckee"; his brother, Robert Sanchez; his sisters, Roberta Sanchez and Rebecca Sanchez; numerous nieces and nephews; and his Premier Boxing Family.

A Visitation will be held at the Azle and Lake Worth Funeral Home Chapel on Friday January 8, 2020 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Azle and Lake Worth Funeral Home Chapel on Friday January 8. 2020 at 2:00 PM.
