Richard Louis Satterfield Jr.
1947 - 2022
Richard Louis Satterfield Jr. went to be with the Lord on December 28, 2022, at the age of 75. He was born on December 11, 1947, to Nora Geraldine Blodgett and Richard Louis Satterfield Sr. in Neodesha, Kansas.
Richard was a man who was a jack of all trades and a talented entrepreneur who started multiple businesses over the years such as a daycare, laundromat, and a cleaning service. He loved to fish and ran three bait and tackle shops around Benbrook Lake, including Billie's Minnows for thirty years. He was a successful tool and die maker in the aircraft business in the 1970s and 80's prior to retiring in 2005. Richard enjoyed traveling and made it a priority to attend The Annual Colonial Golf Tournament every year. He loved to test his luck playing casino card games. When he wasn't outside enjoying nature in his garden or fiddling with his woodworking projects, he was inside enjoying John Wayne and western films or watching his favorite football team, The Dallas Cowboys. Richard loved many things but above all, he loved his family and cherished the time he was able to spend with them.
He was a wonderful father, husband, brother, son, grandfather, uncle, and friend who will be deeply and lovingly missed.
Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Nora (Gerry) Blodgett; his father, Richard Satterfield Sr.; his grandmother, Grace Marea Lockard; and his great-grandmother, Maggie Bell Heistand.
Richard is survived by his loving wife, Pam Satterfield; his sister, Lynda Springer; his sons, Ricky and Sumner Satterfield; his daughter, Traci Koutsouadis; daughter-in-law, Myriah Satterfield; his three grandchildren, Corah, Layna, and Jola; and twelve nieces and nephews.
