Renda Gay Derington passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025. Born on December 31, 1960, to Sharon Nell and JL Waldrop of Levelland, Texas, she was preceded in death by her mother, father, younger brother James Daniel Waldrop, grandparents Frieda Nell and Dan Smith, and late husband Todd Arnold. She is survived by her daughter Stephanie and son-in-law John Tridle of Azle, Texas, granddaughter Lacey and husband Justin Brooks of Azle, Texas, and great-grandchildren Atlas Brooks and Kimberly Brooks. Her role as mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother brought her immense joy. We are confident that she will continue to watch over them. As we reflect on her well-lived life, we remember the valuable life lessons she taught, including resilience, independence, and unconditional love for family and animals. Her legacy will not be forgotten.
