August 16, 1951 – July 13, 2026
Phillip Wade Hays, of White Settlement, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas, at the age of 74.
Born on August 16, 1951, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Phillip lived a life defined by unwavering faith, steadfast love, hard work, and quiet strength. He was a devoted husband, father, and provider whose greatest joy was caring for his family. For those who knew him best, Phillip truly was a shelter through any storm—a constant source of comfort, wisdom, protection, and unconditional love.
Phillip shared 55 wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life, Helen Hays. Together they built a home filled with faith, love, and enduring commitment. He was a proud father to his sons, Phillip Keith Hays and his wife, JeanAnn Hays, and Steven Paul Hays, whom he loved deeply and supported throughout their lives.
A man of profound faith, Phillip was a devoted member of St. Mary the Virgin Catholic Church. His Catholic faith guided every aspect of his life, shaping the compassion, humility, and integrity with which he treated others. He lived his beliefs through his actions, offering kindness, generosity, and steadfast devotion to God, his family, and his community.
Phillip dedicated 39 years of his life as a structural steel craftsman, earning the respect of his coworkers through his exceptional skill, strong work ethic, and pride in a job well done. He understood the value of honest labor and took great satisfaction in helping build structures that would stand the test of time—much like the lasting legacy he leaves in the hearts of those who loved him.
Phillip's memory will live on in the countless lives he touched through his faithfulness, generosity, and unwavering love. While his absence leaves an immeasurable void, his family finds comfort in knowing he has entered into the eternal peace of God's loving embrace.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Helen Hays; his son, Phillip Keith Hays, and daughter-in-law, JeanAnn Hays; and his son, Steven Paul Hays.
Phillip will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished. May perpetual light shine upon him, and may he rest in the peace of Christ.
