Patricia Ann Byas, born on February 19, 1949, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2026. A devoted wife and mother Pat was a beacon of love and kindness in the lives of her family and all who knew her.

A woman of deep faith, Patricia was baptized in the Baptist Church as a child. Her unwavering devotion to the Lord was evident in all aspects of her life. She was passionately active in her church, singing in the choir and forming lasting friendships through her spiritual community.

Patricia's love story began when she met her husband, Ray Byas, a young soldier stationed at Fort Rucker, Alabama. Their bond, forged through support during Ray's long Army career, exemplified love and companionship. Together, they created a home filled with love, warmth, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to each other.

Pat was well known for her social involvement and community activities, embodying a spirit of kindness that touched the hearts of many. Her passion for gardening reflected her nurturing nature, and she often found joy tending to her award-winning plants and flowers, sharing her bountiful harvest with neighbors and friends. A dedicated traveler, she embraced both domestic and international adventures, always looking for the next exciting opportunity to explore the world.

Patricia's legacy of family loyalty and deep connections will continue to inspire her loved ones. Her warmth and generosity will be profoundly missed by all whose lives she enriched.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Deborah Burke and husband Steve; son, Tony Byas and wife Janet; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren, whose lives she cherished deeply.

Patricia was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years Forrest Byas; her parents Julian Howell, Edna Mills.
