Norma Jean Woolsey Acklin

1948 - 2022

Norma Jean Woolsey Acklin, 73, passed away on 28th, January 2022 at Medical City Hospital, Weatherford, TX. She was born on August 12th, 1948, in Fort Worth, TX to Barney and Clara Howell Woolsey.

Norma grew up in Fort Worth, TX. She graduated from Polytechnic High School in Fort Worth, TX in 1966. After high school She attended Fort Worth Beauty College in Fort Worth, TX where she received her Texas License in Cosmetology. She was Ombudsman for the USS Phoenix (SSN-702), and worked for many companies as a Beautician, Bookkeeper, and Account Manager where she worked for over 40 years.  She retired in 2004 after 40 years.

Norma married Michael in 1971 in Fort Worth, TX. They were happily married for 50 years. She enjoyed Animals, Reading, Writing Books and Traveling as much as she could.

Norma was preceded in death by her father and mother, Barney and Clara Woolsey; Son, Scot Edward Acklin; and Brother, John Woolsey.

Norma is survived by her spouse Michael Acklin of Springtown, TX; her daughters, Jeanna Crouch of Mesa, AZ, Shelly Acklin of Killeen, TX; her brother, Jerry Woolsey of Burleson, TX; her grandchildren, Nicole Acklin, Morgan Crouch, Shane Acklin, Mike Crouch; her great-grandchildren, Savannah; and her nieces and nephews Kathy, Barney, George, Rhonda, Kenneth, and Brad.

A memorial service will be held at Hilltop Family Church, 1227 Cottondale Dr. Springtown, TX 76082 at 11:00 AM Saturday the 12th of February 2022.
