In Loving Memory of Neoma Mae Kirk

1937 - 2024

Neoma King Kirk, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on October 20, 2024. Born on March 15, 1937, in Wichita Falls, Texas, she was the daughter of Albert Clarence King and Mary Esther Clay King.

As a young girl, Neoma lived in La Junta before moving to Azle. In 1954, she married Bruce E. Kirk, and they created a beautiful life together in Springtown, Texas, where they resided for 66 years.

Neoma had a fulfilling career at General Dynamics/Lockheed Martin, retiring after 20 years of dedicated service from November 28, 1977, to June 30, 1997. She found joy in her work, but her true passion was her family. Neoma was known for her love of collecting dolls and bears, and she cherished spending time sewing and nurturing her garden.

A devoted mother to five children, Neoma's legacy continues through her 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Her nurturing spirit, kindness, and laughter will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.

Neoma was preceded in passing by her father, AC King; mother, Esther King; husband, Bruce E. Kirk; sisters, Marie Holcomb, Jeanette Troutman Bacon, and Nancy Halbrook; and her son, Bruce A. Kirk.

She will be deeply and lovingly missed by her children, Sandra Coggin, Tommie Easley and husband, Charles, Cynthia Crill, and Eddie Joe Kirk and wife, Sabrina; twelve grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Azle & Lake Worth Funeral Home beginning at 10:00 AM with burial to follow at Jaybird Cemetery.
