Mona Patrice Abshire

1957 - 2022

Mona Patrice Abshire, beloved wife, mother, and Nana, went to be with the Lord on July 19, 2022.  She was born in Fort Worth, Texas on November 5, 1957 to William Joseph Pike and Garnet Pearl Jacobs.  From a young age, Mona's strong personality was known by all.  She was said to take no bull from anyone.  Mona was best described as sassy, outspoken, and stubborn, but her giving heart stood out more than anything. She showed her love through cooking, a trait she passed down to her daughters.  Mona spent many hours crafting; quilts were never lacking in her home.  She enjoyed collecting antiques from antique furniture to Pyrex dishes.  Mona took so much pride in the children she raised and the man she raised them with, but her heart was truly full when she became a Nana. Her grandchildren were her world.  Mona's warm smile and giving heart will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.

She will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 32 years, James Abshire; daughters, Melissa Machado and Jonna Curtis; grandchildren, Shelby Sesley, Savana, Anthony, Nevin and Jordan; and a host of extended family and friends.
