Mary Louise Forbis, 55 years old, of Azle, Texas gained her wings on October 24, 2020.

Mary Louise Forbis was born July 9, 1965 in Olney, Texas to Richard Leon Forbis and Dorothy Carr Cherryhomes.

Mary was a loving mother who adored her son and would do anything for him. She always said her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews were the light of her life. Through them, she gained the nickname "Aunt Me." Mary brought joy and peace to anyone she encountered. She had a heart of gold; if you knew Mary, you loved her. Mary enjoyed giving out hugs and bringing laughter to everyone around her. For the past ten years, she lived with her mother and step-father bringing joy and laughter to their everyday lives with her infectious smile and warm hugs.  If you were her friend, you were her family.  She never gave up on anything or anyone. Mary was a free spirit with a loving heart but watch out, because if you told her no, to Mary, that meant go!  In her free time, she enjoyed dancing, riding horses and cruising on motorcycles.  She will be remembered as a proud mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend.

She is survived by her son, Cody Stewart & wife, Dee Stewart; grandchildren, Brook, Tyler, Tanner and Casey; father, Richard Forbis; mother and step-father, Dorothy and Paul Cherryhomes; sister, Yvette Wilson; brothers, Doug Forbis (Ann), Brice Cherryhomes (Stefanie), Brian Cherryhomes; 11 nieces and nephews; 15 great-nieces and nephews; and special friend, Terrance Johnson.

She is proceeded by her grandparents, Margaret and Frank Wright and Odessa and Rayford Forbis; aunt, Joann Freeman; and cousins, Tami Benton and Jeff DeWilt.

A visitation will be held on October 30, 2020 from 9 AM -10 AM at the Azle & Lake Worth Funeral Home, followed by a Funeral Service beginning 10 AM.
