Mary Ann Rice Fairl, also known as Ann, 76, of Azle, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, February 1, 2026. Service: 1:00 P.M. Saturday February 7, 2026 at Azle Church of Christ. Visitation: 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, February 6, 2026 at the Azleland Memorial Park & Cemetary.
Ann was a life-long resident of Azle. She was one of a kind. A loyal friend, fair, honest and loving woman who would always help anyone. Ann lived a life rooted in generosity, grace and strength. Those who knew her speak of her warmth, her steady presence and the way she helped so many. She had a gift for creating beauty, whether in her cooking, floral arrangements and stunning creations that she sewed, or simply by the way she welcomed others into her life.
She was a secretary with the Tarrant County District Attorney's Office for 5 years, H&R Block Tax Office for 14 years. She was also a dog groomer for 43 years before semi-retiring in 2011. Ann enjoyed going to yard sales and shopping. She never found a bargain that she couldn't pass up, a dog that she didn't love or a person she didn't like. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of Azle Church of Christ.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Harry L. Rice, Sr. and Opal her husband Mason, her brother Harry L. "Leo" Rice, Jr., Richard's Parents Freidrick & Evay Fairl, and her son-in-law Justin Martin. She is survived by her loving husband Richard, of 60 years, her son, Richard "Allen" Fairl, Jr. and wife Hollie of GlenRose; daughter, Karen of Denton; her sister Susan and husband Mike Filiatraut of Midland, MI; step-brother, Tony and wife Sherry Knox of Ft. Worth; three grandchildren Jeffery and wife Kayla of Weatherford; Thomas and wife Marie of Springtown; and Brittany and husband Ben of Azle. 8 Great-grandchildren - Maddix, Kash, Kenzi Jo, Dessa, Leevi, Memphis, Malakai and Nova; her nieces Ashley of Freeland, MI.; Paige and husband Justin Foley of Freeland, MI.; Great-Nieces Addisyn and Maci and Great-Nephew Michael. Richard's siblings, Carol, Sandy, Steve, and Terry. Her life-long Best Friend/Partner in Crime Billie Ruth Brady. And a host of other family and friends whom she dearly loved.
