Marvin Ray Pettis
1949 – 2020

Marvin Ray Pettis went to be with the Lord on January 29th, 2020 in Fort Worth, Texas. Marvin was born on September 4, 1949 in Fort Worth, Texas to his parents, Raymond O. Pettis and Pearl E. Pettis.

Marvin got married to Elvira Forro on May 21, 1968, they had three beautiful children, Marsha, Marvin Jr. and Tim, six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

Marvin was a very carefree person who always put other people before himself. He had an optimistic outlook on life and believed everything would work itself out for the better. Marvin lived life day by day. He will be deeply and lovingly missed.

Marvin is survived by his devoted wife, Elvira Pettis; his sons, Marvin Ray Pettis Jr. and wife, Laura, Timothy Leo Pettis and wife, Liz; his daughter, Marsha Lynn Johnson and husband, Stephen; his grandchildren, Amanda Maldonado, Jacob Pettis, Hunter Pettis, Samantha Rubio, Regan Pettis and Tanner Pettis; four great grandchildren; his brothers, Ray Pettis and Ronnie Pettis; his sisters, Patricia Key and Pamela Pettis; along with other loving family members and dear friends.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday February 1st, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Azleland Cemetery and Memorial Park located at 850 N. Cardinal Rd. Azle, Texas 76020
