In Loving Memory of Marsha Dee Ann Taylor
October 30, 1938 – April 22, 2025
With hearts full of love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Marsha Dee Ann Taylor, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose steadfast presence graced the lives of many. Marsha passed from this life on April 22, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas, surrounded by the love of those she held most dear. She was 86 years old.
Marsha's story began on a crisp autumn day—October 30, 1938—in the heart of Bloomington, Indiana, born to her Mom and Stepfather, Wallace Farr and Mary L. Farr. She was a cherished daughter and an adoring big sister from the very start, growing up in the warm, close-knit embrace of family. Even as the years passed and life took her in new directions, the bonds she formed with her siblings—especially with her sister Pam—remained unbroken, lovingly tended to across decades and distances.
At the age of 11, Marsha and her family left behind the Indiana woods and rolling hills for the sun-drenched landscapes of Fort Worth, Texas, where she would lay the foundation for a life marked by love, purpose, and an unwavering dedication to her family and faith. Raised in the Methodist tradition, Marsha's relationship with God deepened in adulthood joining a nondenominational church, and she was baptized in the 1990s, a moment of reaffirmation and spiritual devotion that would guide her path in every season of life.
Marsha was the kind of mother that stories and songs are written about. Fiercely loyal and endlessly giving, her children were the center of her world. Her family lovingly called her "the best mom ever," and those words were more than just affectionate praise—they were a truth lived out in every act of selflessness, every late night spent caring, every hard decision made with love, and every moment of shared laughter. Her home was a refuge, her arms a haven, and her heart a compass for her children, whom she adored and protected with a lioness's strength.
Marsha was more than a mother—she was the soul of her family, and that spirit extended generously to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Her love wrapped around each of them, steady and strong, like one of the beautiful quilts she so lovingly stitched.
A woman of quiet power and unmistakable conviction, Marsha was never one to mince words. She had opinions, and she shared them without apology—always with the intent to guide, to protect, and to speak truth into the lives of those she loved. Her strength of character was matched by a strong moral compass and a deep faith that shaped her family's values and left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Marsha was the epitome of steadiness. Whether caring for her children, managing her home, or navigating the changes life inevitably brings, she moved with grace, determination, and a calm confidence that anchored everyone around her. She was a hard worker and a quiet force of nature, always doing what needed to be done without fanfare.
In her heart, she remained a woman deeply devoted to her church and community. Her faith was not merely spoken, but lived—in the way she showed up for others, in her firm sense of right and wrong, and in the dignity with which she carried herself. Her hands, always busy, were rarely still—crocheting, quilting, sewing, and creating beauty from threads and fabric. These labors of love were more than hobbies; they were the tangible expressions of her generosity and warmth.
Marsha shared a remarkable bond with her beloved husband, Roy Taylor. Together, they built a life of love and laughter, marked by companionship and shared passions. Whether sitting side-by-side at home or cheering at dirt track races, their time together was filled with the kind of love that deepens with years and trials.
She leaves behind Her son; Daniel K. Taylor and his wife Nora, her son Marcus Wayne Taylor, her grandchildren; Deanna, Michael, Tiffani, Misty, Douglas, Autumn, Melanie, Bobby Shane, Shane, and Marcus Jr.; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren, all of whom were precious treasures in her eyes. She also leaves behind her dear siblings—her brother Scotty Aaron Poling and his wife Sharon, and her sister Pam Dickey—along with a vast constellation of extended family members and friends who were drawn to her honesty, strength, and deep-rooted kindness.
She was preceded in death by her late husband Roy Taylor, her parents, Wallace and Mary Farr; her son Rory Lee Taylor; her daughter Deanna Lynn Taylor; and her grandson Gregory Taylor—each loss a profound chapter in her story, and each memory a sacred legacy that lives on in her family.
Marsha Dee Ann Edwards-Taylor's life was a testament to enduring love, unwavering strength, and timeless devotion. She gave endlessly, spoke truth boldly, and loved fiercely. Though the world feels dimmer without her presence, her light continues to shine in the lives of those she nurtured, taught, and inspired.
