Mark Heins 83, of Azle, Texas went to be with the Lord on November 15, 2021.  He was born on July 19, 1938, to William and Lenora Heins in Galveston, Texas. His battle with cancer showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the issues caused by the cancer, Mark remained strong until the end.

Mark had an incredible, fulfilled life and obtained many accomplishments.  A few of his accomplishments were that he obtained his pilot's license at age 19. Also, at age 19 he obtained his Airframe/Powerplant Mechanics license and obtained his FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operators Permit.  He was part owner of a 120-acre chicken farm, housing 10,000 chickens, and he was a part-time bus driver. He took on this job to ensure all children were able to attend school in his city. He was a Mason for 57+ years. He was also part owner of a company called Surge and had a long career at Paul Muller Company in Springfield, Missouri where he later retired.  He loved to travel the world with his wife, Geri. He was an avid animal lover and no-kill animal shelter supporter.

Mark was proceeded in death by his parents and wife of 40 years, Geri Heins.

Mark is survived by his loving daughters, Monique "Nikki" Goodson and her husband, James.  Rikki Patton and her husband Brent. His granddaughter, Ellen Irwin.  His brother, Willie Heins and his wife, Joan. As well as many extended family and friends in many states throughout the U.S.

His ashes will be entombed with his late wife, Geri in the St. Casimir Cemetery; located in Chicago, IL. at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, we are requesting donations in Mark Heins name to one of the three listed No Kill Shelters:  Operation Kindness of North Texas located in Carrollton, TX (a no kill animal shelter).
