In Loving Memory of Mario Palomo Monjaras

1975 - 2024

Mario Palomo Monjaras, born on March 1, 1975, in Donna, Texas, to Francisco Monjaras and Maria Inez Paloma, passed away on October 7, 2024, in Fort Worth, Texas. He grew up in Donna, where he attended school and was baptized in the Catholic faith at a young age. Throughout his life, Mario maintained a strong relationship with God, which served as a foundation for his values and actions.

In his youth, Mario worked diligently at a machine shop and as a ranch hand, nurturing his love for all types of animals. A self-taught and intelligent man, he mastered automotive repair and became known as a jack of all trades. In 2020, he discovered his true calling as a technician in the gas and diesel industry, where he thrived and showcased his hands-on skills.

Mario was an ardent sports fan, passionately supporting the Michigan Wolverines and the Dallas Cowboys throughout his life. He loved the color and pageantry that the Wolverines represented, embodying the spirit of teamwork and dedication.

As a devoted father, Mario was deeply involved in the lives of his sons, Miguel A. Monjaras and Mario A. Monjaras. He attended all their school activities and took them to football combines, fostering their talents and encouraging their dreams. Mario's love for cooking was evident in the delicious meals he prepared for his family, often showcasing his skills on the backyard barbecue.

Family meant everything to Mario. He was a giving man who shared his wisdom through stories, imparting valuable lessons to his boys. His friends and family often sought his advice, finding comfort in his insightful and entertaining tales. Known for his great sense of humor, Mario loved to laugh and tell jokes, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Mario is survived by his beloved sons, Miguel A. Monjaras and his wife, Alisha Torres, and Mario A. Monjaras; his cherished grandsons, Zayvion and Isaiah Monjaras; and many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Maria Inez.

A funeral service and visitation will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024 beginning at 1 pm with the visitation followed by the funeral at 2 PM at the Azle Funeral Chapel on the grounds of Azleland Cemetery.
