In Loving Memory of Marian "Angie" Romero

1974 - 2024

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Marian "Angie" Romero, who peacefully left this world on December 23, 2024, in Fort Worth, Texas. Angie was born on July 15, 1974, in Fort Worth to Joe Charles and Norma Douglas. She spent her life surrounded by the beauty and warmth of North Texas, where she nurtured a vibrant and loving family and built lasting connections with all who knew her.

Angie was an extraordinary daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. She had a heart full of love and generosity It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Marian "Angie" that knew no bounds. She lived with passion, joy, and a zest for life that was infectious. Whether she was hiking in the great outdoors or floating down rivers, Angie found peace in nature, and her adventurous spirit always led her to explore new horizons. She was the life of every gathering, and no one could resist her energy when she was dancing or singing her heart out at karaoke.

A true creative soul, Angie had a gift for crafting and DIY projects, always working on something new to enhance her home. Her hands were never still, as she loved to remodel and create beauty in everything around her.

Her most cherished role in life, however, was being a mother. She was always deeply involved in her sons' lives, especially in their sporting activities. Angie's son Kade holds dear the memories of their weekends spent traveling together for his baseball games—time filled with laughter, love, and memories that will live on in his heart forever. As a grandmother, Angie's love was unconditional, and she adored her grandchildren—Aria, Luke, Stetson, and Noah—whom she showered with affection and joy.

Angie is survived by her loving son Tyler and his wife Mariah Cohen, and her son Kade Brackeen. She also leaves behind her precious grandchildren, Aria, Luke, Stetson, and Noah. Her parents, Joe Charles, and Norma Spindor, her sisters Ashley Hearn, Blair Frey, Shay Douglas-Touzalin, and Nikole Tabarez, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who adored her, and will forever carry her memory in their hearts. Angie was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents James A. and Dorothy Rogers, and her grandparents Johnny Joe Douglas and Mattie Sue Burton.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Azle & Lake Worth Funeral Home, followed by a service at 2:00 PM. Angie will be laid to rest at Azleland Cemetery and Memorial Park, located at 850 N. Cardinal Rd, Azle, TX, 76020, where she will be surrounded by peace and the love of those she left behind.

Angie's memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her. Her laughter, warmth, and boundless love will continue to shine brightly in the lives she touched. May she rest in peace, knowing she was deeply loved and will never be forgotten.
