IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lyndon Dowl
Whitson
December 10, 1964 – March 2, 2021
Lyndon "Dowl" Whitson (56) went to be with the Lord on March 2, 2021 in Azle, Texas. Dowl was born on December 10, 1964 in Bakersfield, California to his parents James E. "Pete" Whitson and Patsy A. Thompson-Whitson.
Dowl was especially proud of his time at Bryant Fine Arts for fifteen years, in fact, he constantly talked to others about his trip with them to New York City. Dowl was also a licensed member of the Texas Plumbing Pipe Fitting Association.
While Dowl was a very hard working man and enjoyed his job, his real passion was playing the guitar. He loved to sing while he played. Dowl also loved to design and invent items. Dowl was pretty much a jack of all trades. Dowl especially loved boating and camping at Lake Tenkiller and on the Illinois River in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He enjoyed hiking, gardening and landscaping, especially during the spring and summer months. Dowl loved to take his dog, Daisy Rae, to the river on his trips.
He is survived by his daughter, Maci J. Adams and her husband, Nick, one grandson, Thor W. Adams, all from Cross Plains Texas; one sister, Carolyn A. Ejem and her husband, Kenny from Azle, Texas; one brother, James G. Whitson and his wife Marilyn McCoy-Whitson from Tahlequah, Oklahoma; his girlfriend, Linda Roberson-Hartcastle; his best friend, Paul Bryant; and many friends and family of Texas and Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
He is preceded in death by his father James E. "Pete" Whitson and his mother, Patsy A. Thompson Whitson.
While the family is deeply saddened by their loss of Dowl, they hope that everyone that knew and loved him will come help celebrate his life, a life well lived on Thursday March 4, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Azleland Cemetery @ 850 North Cardinal Road, Azle, Texas 76020
