Leona "Nona" Cooper Duke, 90,  passed away on January 24, 2021 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Nona was born on October 2, 1930 in Montgomery, Alabama to the late William Wheeler Cooper and Leona Wescott Cooper (Tap and Mo.)  She graduated from Margaret Booth High School in Montgomery before attending the University of Alabama.  Nona married Robert Duke in 1951 and had their son, Malcolm, before going their separate ways in 1976. She was very active in the First Presbyterian Church of Montgomery for many years.  In 2013, she made the big move to Fort Worth to be cared for by her son, but her heart was always in Alabama.

Nona will be deeply and lovingly missed by her son, Malcolm W. Duke and wife Carolyn C. Duke; grandchildren, Morgon W. Duke and Mallory C. Duke; and great-grandchildren, Maren A Duke and Nolan C. Duke.
