In Loving Memory of Kenneth Leroy Fairl

1948 - 2023

Kenneth Leroy Fairl, born on April 4, 1948, in Fort Worth, Texas, left this world on November 5, 2023, in Azle, Texas, surrounded by loved ones. He was a man of exceptional character, unwavering dedication, and boundless intellect.

Kenneth served his country with honor and distinction, dedicating his life to both the Air Force and the Navy. He bravely served in Vietnam, earning accolades such as the National Defense Service Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medal for his valor and commitment.

After his military service, Kenneth continued his quest for knowledge and excellence. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in engineering, embarking on a remarkable career at Lockheed Martin and its subsidiaries, where he dedicated three decades of his life to his work.

Kenneth was more than just a dedicated professional; he was a loving father, a constant source of wisdom, and an unyielding teacher to his children. His vast knowledge seemed to know no bounds, earning him the endearing nickname of having "a computer in his head instead of a brain." His role as a father and a role model was unparalleled, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of his children.

In addition to his career and family, Kenneth also served as a professor at Tarrant County Junior College, where he continued to share his wealth of knowledge with the next generation.

Kenneth was a true world traveler who had a deep love for exploring the world's many cultures and places. His passion for learning and sharing his travel stories brought joy to those fortunate enough to hear them.

His gentle and easy-going nature endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Kenneth was truly an all-around great guy, and his warm presence made him a beloved figure among family and friends.

Kenneth is survived by his daughter, Shelia Fairl, his son, Dwayne Fairl, two granddaughters, Sydney and Tara, and a grandson, Kenneth Swire. He is also remembered by his siblings, Carol Schoolcraft, Richard Fairl, Sandra Black, Terry Hall, and Steve Fairl.
