Kelvin Leon Kelley

Kelvin Leon (KK) Kelley, devoted husband, passed away peacefully with his wife Regina Ann (Gina) Kelley at his side on November 25, 2025, at the Arlington Texas Health and Vascular Hospital.
Kelvin was born in Chicago, Illinois to James Kelley and Winnie Pearl Stewart Kelley, who both preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brother, James Mack Kelley, and his 3 sons__ Kimani, Kamal, and Kendrick Kelley
Growing up in Chicago, Kelvin was baptized at 12 years old. He graduated from Chicago Vocational School.
Later in life, Kelvin attended Lake County College to pursue his ASAAD Degree for Substance Abuse Counselor, which allowed him to use his talent as a counselor at Alternative Behavior Treatment Center, P.A.D.S. Crisis Center, and Avenues to Independence.
Kelvin faced many challenges throughout his life, showing remarkable strength and resilience in the face of adversity. He found solace in his faith and took pride in the accomplishments of his children, cherishing every moment spent with family. His generosity touched the lives of everyone around him, leaving a lasting impact on his community.
Kelvin was known for his sharp style, fondness for hats and caps, and custom-printed T-shirts from his stepson Cornell, and his stepson Derek for keeping his hair cut and face well groomed
In 2004, he met Regina Ann Thomas (Gina), Kelley the woman who became his best friend and great love of his life. They were united in holy matrimony on September 30, 2006, in Waukegan, Illinois.
After deciding to start fresh and build a new chapter in his life, Kelvin left Waukegan, Illinois and moved to Arlington, Texas. He worked as a truck driver for Texas Instruments, and a Security Guard at the Medical Center of Arlington, TX. After retiring, he continued to work part-time at Hyatt Place Hotel in Grapevine, Texas as a Shuttle Driver. He enjoyed meeting people.
Kelvin was known for his kindness, wisdom, and unforgettable sense of humor. He carried a natural gift for listening, offering guidance, understanding, and compassion to anyone who needed it. To many, he was a counselor at heart always ready with encouraging words and support.
Kelvin enjoyed watching old TV western and detective movies. His favorite TV series was NYPD. Music artists like Levert, Motown, Old School, and Jazz were his favorites. Kelvin was known for his thoughtful calls and visits to family and friends on their birthdays and holidays.
Kelvin leaves behind his wife Regina (Gina) Kelley, son Ali Muhammad (Jameka), his siblings Harold Kelley, Stewart Kelley (Dorothy Ann) and Evangeline Turner. Stepsons Derek LeBlanc and Cornell LoBrandon (Jada), and stepdaughter Danita LoBrandon and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, uncles, an aunt, and many dear friends.
Kelvin will be deeply missed and not forgotten.
