Katrina Faye Edmunds, 53, of Azle, Texas, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026, after a courageous ten-year battle with cancer, surrounded by the family she loved so dearly.
Katrina was born on September 4, 1972, to Larry and Karen Mackey. From the very beginning, she had a nurturing spirit and a heart devoted to family. She grew into the role she cherished most - being a wife, a mother, and a "Lolli." Her greatest joy in life was caring for those she loved, and she never missed an opportunity to show it. Throughout her life, she found immense joy in the companionship of her many beloved animals. Her home was always filled with the gentle sounds of paws on the floor, happy chirps, and contented purrs-a true sanctuary of warmth and care. Katrina had a remarkable gift for understanding and nurturing each creature's unique spirit, offering patience, protection, and unwavering love. The devotion she showed to their animals was a reflection of their generous heart, and the bonds they formed will remain a lasting part of their legacy.
Katrina is survived by her loving husband, Heath Edmunds; her children, Paige Edmunds, Dakota Tinney and wife Samantha Tinney, and Mitchel Edmunds and wife Shayla Edmunds. She was a proud and devoted Lolli to Makinlee, Krue, Michael and Lilly. She is also survived by her sister, Christy Brown, her nephew Blake Brown, as well as her parents, Karen and Larry Mackey, along with many extended family members and friends who loved her deeply.
She spent her life doing what she loved most - being a mom. Whether it was offering advice, cooking meals, cheering on her children and grandchildren, or simply being present, Katrina was the steady heart of her home. She was truly the glue that held her family together, a source of comfort, strength, and unconditional love to everyone who knew her.
She was especially known for her love of holidays, birthday celebrations, and the Christmas Eve traditions she created and faithfully kept for her family year after year.
Katrina fought her illness with strength, faith, and grace for ten years, never allowing it to take away her love for her family or her caring spirit. Her legacy will live on in the lives she shaped, the lessons she taught, and the love she gave so freely.
She will be remembered for her kindness, her warmth, and the way she made everyone feel at home. The world is dimmer without her, but Heaven is brighter.
"Well done, good and faithful servant... Enter into the joy of your Lord." - Matthew 25:23
Katrina was deeply loved, and she will be missed beyond words and remembered forever in the hearts of her family.
Katrina is preceded in death by her Uncle Terry uncle Ronnie Mackey, her Grandma and grandpa Wasek, And her Grandma and grandpa Mackey.
