Julie Anna Watkins

1981-2020

Julie Anna Watkins was born on August 4, 1981 to her parents, James Donley Jefferson and Bobby Lois Wright-Jefferson. A life long resident of the Azle area, Julie returned home to her Lord and Savior on May 3, 2020.

Julie was an amazing person. She was a loving wife and devoted mother. Julie loved life and enjoyed the outdoors. She would spend as much time as she could, camping or fishing and she always loved live music concerts. Julie was passionate about life and was a joy to be around.

Julie leaves behind her husband, Michael Watkins Jr. and her sons, Michael Watkins III and Weldon Watkins. Julie is also survived by her mother, Bobby Jefferson; her stepfather, Buddy Loudon; her father-in-law, Mike Watkins Sr. and her mother-in-law, Glenda Watkins. Julie will be greatly missed by her many other loving family members and friends, including her aunts and uncles; April and Wayne Scheets, Bob and Zella Higdon, Judy and Dean Foster and Linda Sellers, her sister-in-law Briana Jefferson, her nephews Aaron Jefferson and Brandon Jefferson, and her niece Amanda Jefferson.

Julie has begun her journey into her new home with her Heavenly Father in the Kingdom of Heaven where she is now re-united with her father, Don Jefferson, her brother, Allen Jefferson, her grandmother, Mozell Wright, her grandfather, Billy Jack Wright, her grandmother, Leola Jefferson, her grandfather Frank Jefferson and her uncle Vern Sellers.

While Julie's family is greatly saddened by their loss, they wish for everyone that knew Julie to come celebrate her life. A life well lived.

A Visitation will be held on Friday May 8, 2020 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Azle and Lake Worth Funeral Chapel on the grounds of Azleland Cemetery.

A Graveside Funeral Service will follow the Visitation beginning at 2:30 PM at Azleland Cemetery.
