Julia Johnel Proudfit-DeLorme, affectionately known as "Google" by her family, was born on January 10, 1944, in Hayes,  Kansas, to her parents John Proudfit and Lillian Vera Bost. She passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, in Fort Worth, Texas, after a lengthy battle with dementia.

Julia grew up in Fort Worth, Texas, and attended Arlington Heights High School, where she met Courtenay, the love of her life. After life led them apart and back together again, they were happily married for 39 years. Julia cherished crocheting, life on Eagle Mountain Lake, where countless family gatherings and celebrations were held, and spoiling her grandchildren. She took pride in the nickname "Google" given by some of her grandkids, reflecting her vast knowledge and eagerness to share it with everyone.

Her family, known for their closeness, celebrated life together, creating cherished memories at Fourth of July fireworks, Christmases, and over banana pudding that will last for generations to come. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Cathy Greene, her daughter Meredith DeLorme-Salsman and husband Richard Salsman, her sons Robert and John DeLorme, her sons-in-law Charles Trammell and Dale Lamb, her grandchildren Kimber, Braden, Adison, Cameron, Autumn, Justice, Stormie, Heaven, Rainie, and Alexander, and her great-grandchildren Lakelyn, Liam, Jacob, Tyler, and Levi.

Julia was preceded in death by her husband, William Courtenay DeLorme III, her mother and father, Lil and Bill Greene, her birth father, John Proudfit, and two daughters, Melissa Miller Trammell and Shelby Wolff McGrath.

A funeral service to celebrate Julia's life will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at 10 AM at the Azle Christian Church, located at 117 Church St. in Azle, Texas. Julia will be remembered fondly by all who knew her as a funny, loving, and caring woman, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter that will endure through the ages.
