In Loving Memory of Johnny William Tisdale

1951 - 2026

Johnny William Tisdale, age 74, of Springtown, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2026.

Johnny was born on September 21, 1951, in Fort Worth, Texas to Johnny and Evelyn Tisdale. He proudly served in both the United States Navy and the United States Marine Corps. He held many occupations over the years, but no title meant more to him than husband, dad, pop pop, and grandpa.

Johnny lived life with a full heart. He loved deeply, laughed often, and found his greatest joy in the people he loved most. He was so proud of his children and grandchildren, and he never missed an opportunity to tell others how much he loved them. His greatest legacy is not found in the years he lived, but in the love he freely gave to his family and friends.

He enjoyed life's simple pleasures such as fishing with his family, playing with his grandkids, or spending evenings on the couch watching MASH*, The Andy Griffith Show, or The Lone Ranger. He also enjoyed making a big pot of gumbo to share with his kids, many of which still make his recipe to share with their own families.

Johnny was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Tina; and his parents Johnny and Evelyn.

He is lovingly remembered by his children, Kristen, Johnny, Catherine, Tyler, Stormy, and Christopher; his eleven cherished grandchildren, Madisen, Caleb, Paxlee, Hope, Jase, Fynn, Logan, Lilith, Rylie, Reagan, and Linkoln; along with their spouses, extended family, and many friends whose lives were touched by his kindness, humor, and love.

Those who knew Johnny will remember his strength, his loyalty, and his ability to make those around him laugh. To those who never had the privilege of knowing him, know this: Johnny's greatest pride was his family. He loved them fiercely, celebrated their accomplishments, stood beside them through life's challenges, and treasured every moment they spent together. That love is the legacy he leaves behind, and it will continue to live on through each of them.

A celebration of Johnny's life will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Azle & Lake Worth Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a man whose life was defined by service, devotion, laughter, and above all, love.

Though he will be deeply missed, Johnny's memory will live on. His family finds comfort in knowing that the love he shared will continue to spread through their own families each and every day.
