Jimmy Edward King, aka Jimmy "Kilowatt" King of Azle, Texas, passed away on June 5, 2026, at the age of 55.
Born on December 9, 1970, in Lubbock, Texas, Jimmy built a successful career in the electrical trade. A Master Electrician, he was the founder of KDB Electric in Paradise, Texas, and took great pride in his work and professional accomplishments. Known for being organized, hardworking, and meticulous, Jimmy earned the respect of those who knew and worked alongside him.
Jimmy enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He loved being outdoors, gardening, cooking, riding and working on Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Jimmy also experienced great adventures, like whitewater rafting with his son, Blaine. He was an avid reader and especially enjoyed reading and discussing the Bible. Those who knew him appreciated his knowledge, strong work ethic, and willingness to share his thoughts and experiences.
In recent years, Jimmy faced significant health challenges. After being diagnosed with lung cancer, he underwent treatment and experienced a period of remission. Shortly thereafter, he was diagnosed with bone cancer. Jimmy passed away unexpectedly following surgery to repair a leg that had been weakened by the disease.
One of Jimmy's greatest blessings in his final years was reconnecting with his family. Through his illness, he came to recognize the importance of family and treasured the time he was able to spend with those he loved. Among his favorite moments were quiet mornings on the front porch with his mother, Billie, sharing coffee, conversation, and the simple comfort of being together.
Jimmy is survived by his mother, Billie Haynes of Azle, Texas; his former wife, Jaylina Bullard of Abilene, Texas; his son, Blaine Bullard, and beloved grandson, Jeremiah Bullard, of Abilene, Texas. He is also survived by his brother, John Haynes and wife, Mandy, of Big Spring, Texas, and their son, Jaden Haynes; his sister, Amber Lee and husband, Chris, of Murphy, Texas, and their son, Hudson Lee; his aunt, Rhonda Robinson of Azle, Texas; and his cousins, April, Samantha, Jamie, and Jon.
Jimmy will be remembered for his determination, his love of learning, his devotion to his trade, and the relationships he renewed and cherished in his final years. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends and in the many lives he touched throughout his journey.
Jimmy will be cremated, and the family will honor his memory privately. The family finds comfort knowing that Jimmy spent his final years surrounded by the love of family and the faith that had become important to him.
