Born in Lubbock Texas to parents Clyde and Lois Fay Brashear. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Karen K, son Jimmy Steven Brashear (Julie), grandchildren Parker Brashear (Skyler), Paige Brashear (Chase); Tanner Smith and Mason Smith, Brother Dewey & SIL Tracey; Nephew Justin Brashear (Kathryn); Jaimey Rust (Austin); and Great niece Skylar Rust.
Jimmy was an entrepreneur starting his own businesses at a very young age. His first job was managing many Pizza Inn locations. From there he went into business with his Dad, doing auto-body repair; he then purchased Bills Texaco in Azle, TX; then started his own wrecking yard business which he later sold. He then bought and sold cars; built cabinets for new homes and then became a semi-professional poker player, which was probably his favorite! Jimmy made many friends throughout his many ventures.
Even though he was busy, he always had time for family. Jimmy had a very big heart and was always willing to take care of everyone. You called...he was there for you! Karen was the love of his life, and you typically didn't see Jimmy without Jimmy Steven in tow! Whether it was car shows, hunting or fishing, they were together. He loved to fish at Lake Fork and proudly displayed his trophy fish on his wall which still hangs there today. He loved family! Especially his grandkids! He picked them up from school everyday until Parker got his license. He stayed close to his brother and his cousins, making time to hunt and fish with them.
He lived a full life and while he had many health problems, he still enjoyed his family very much!
