In Loving Memory of Jeffery Dustin Griggs

1988 - 2024

Jeffery Dustin Griggs, born October 1, 1988, in Weatherford, Texas, to Jeffery and Karen Griggs, joined with Jesus on July 18, 2024.

Dustin was baptized at the age of 16 and became a dedicated youth leader at Joplin Baptist Church, where he inspired many with his faith and enthusiasm. His love for music shone brightly as he enjoyed singing, writing songs, and playing the guitar. Dustin's talents extended to entertaining, cooking, photography, and even as an amateur arborist. His love for nature was evident in his passion for hiking, camping, and fishing.

A man of many skills, Dustin was also talented in various construction trades. His larger-than-life personality, captivating spirit, and smile that could light up a room will be deeply missed. Dustin had a unique gift for making everyone around him laugh and feel loved. He was charismatic, funny, and a hopeless romantic, always bringing joy and warmth to those who knew him.

Dustin's legacy of love, laughter, and faith will continue to inspire and uplift those who were fortunate enough to be part of his life. He leaves behind a void that can never be filled but also countless beautiful memories that will be cherished forever.

He has been reunited with his grandparents, Ronnie Griggs, Max Hinkle, and Bob Singleton in God's Eternal Kingdom.

Dustin will be deeply and lovingly missed by his parents, Jeff and Karen Griggs; children, Kash Griggs, Penelope Griggs, and Pandora Anne; siblings, Joel Cottrell and wife, Jessie, Karie Cottrell, and Sam Griggs; grandparents, Laverne Griggs, Laveta Singleton and husband, Skip, and Sharon Hinkle; and a host of extended family and friends who became family.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024, at Azle & Lake Worth Funeral Home beginning at 2:00 PM.
