IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jeannie Marie
Burrows-Byrd
September 24, 1970 – March 3, 2025
Jeannie Marie Burrows-Byrd, formerly "Nowlin", was born on September 24th, 1970 to Melva Jane Nowlin and Homer Jennings Nowlin. Growing up alongside her sisters Shannon Fleming-Mcwhorter and Betsy Segovia, Jeannie enjoyed going roller skating, going to the amusement park, and sledding down the hill at the park when it snowed. Jeannie attended R. L. Paschal High School from 1983-1986. Jeannie went on to give birth to her baby girl Emery Dawn Burrows on December 16, 1992.
Jeannie maintained her affection for jokes and laughter, her fondness for beauty and fashion (specifically leopard print), and the Mardi Gras. Jeannie was enthralled with going tubing on the Brazos and was in love with being at the lake. Jeannie and Donnie Byrd became engaged in 2019 and married on October 2nd, 2020. The love that evolved between the two of them remained in their hearts despite the uncertainty they faced together. The understanding shared between the two of these strong individuals was inspirational as they navigated the challenging and unpredictable journey of life.
A joy to meet, a gift to know, and an honor to call friend. A daughter, a wife, a mother, a sister, an aunt, and a companion to many, Jeannie Byrd was never short on exuberance. The energy she carried inside of her and the willingness to share compassion with everyone is what distinguished her. After finding peace and comfort in her salvation, our Heavenly Father called His angel home on March 3rd, 2025, at 7:45pm.
Jeannie Byrd is survived by her husband Donnie Byrd, his son Leland Edward Byrd, her mother in law Linda Lynn Bird, her daughter Emery Dawn Burrows, her sisters Shannon Fleming-Mcwhorter and Betsy Segovia and husband Juan Segovia with their daughter, her niece Juanita Segovia and husband Christopher Jimenez with their son Eli Jimenez, her step sister Kasha Kinman and husband Jamie Kinman, who is the funeral service Preacher from Indian Creek Baptist Church, in Mineral Wells.
