Janey (Dickerson) Cavanaugh

Janey D. Cavanaugh (Plumlee), age 70, of Texas, passed away on November 9, 2025. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Cottondale First Baptist Church.

Janey was born on February 11, 1955, in Fort Worth, Texas, to the late Clyde D. and Beatrice Ruth Dickerson. Janey cherished her time spent on her family's ranch in Springtown and her years living in Hallmark with her loved ones.

She was known for her vibrant personality, joyful spirit, and her ability to bring laughter and light to any room. Janey's friendly nature and love of conversation allowed her to make lasting connections with everyone she met.

Throughout her life, Janey held a variety of positions that reflected her dedication, energy, and compassion.

Family was always at the center of her life, and she devoted herself to creating lasting memories with those she loved most.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved sister, Connie Dickerson.

Janey is survived by her siblings Valerie Dickerson and Clyde Dickerson Jr. and his wife Donna; her children Robert "Mike" Plumlee and wife Natasha, Jeffery Plumlee and wife Ashley, and April Watson; her grandchildren Caleb, Weston, Jeffery Jr., Paisley, and Dillon; three great-grandchildren; a nephew; and numerous extended family members and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Janey will be remembered for her laughter, kindness, and zest for life. Her family asks that she be remembered not for her absence, but for the joy, humor, and love she brought to all who knew her.
