James (Jimmy) McDaniel, 57, went to be with our Lord Friday, August 6, 2021, in Azle.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, August 13, 2021, at Azle and Lake Worth Funeral Home in Azle, Texas. There will be a fellowship meal following the services at The Ranch Christian Cowboy Church in Azle.
James was born on December 28, 1963, to Dub (Wally) McDaniel and Lavan Smith in Fort Worth, Texas. He was united in marriage to Rebecca (Becky) Morrow on May 24, 2002, in Boyd. James was a member of The Ranch Christian Cowboy Country Church in Azle. He was a beloved husband, son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. James loved fishing, animals and telling others about Jesus through wearing his Christian T-shirts and hats daily.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Becky of Rhome; his parents, Dub & LaDonna McDaniel of Decatur and Lavan Smith of Boyd; his 3 brothers, Michael McDaniel & wife Vicki of Ohio, Chris McDaniel & wife Jennifer of Fort Worth, and Scott McDaniel of Boyd; his sister, Laura Jackson & husband Tommy of Boyd; his step brothers, Josh Cofield and Jeron Smith and wife Cristi of Granbury; his sons, Jeremy Lankford & wife Elizabeth of Boyd, and William King & wife Leslie of Granbury; daughters, Holly Travis & husband Kenneth, Cristy Lankford, and Yolanda Fortenberry & husband Kim; grandkids, Hannah, Asher, Rylee, Cierra, Dori, Jade, Desi, Trace, Xaily, Nicole, Faith, Caleb, Haley, Noah, Evelyn, Mason, and Willow; In Laws, Andy & Margaret McGauley of Fort Worth, Johnny & Connie Morrow of Reno; numerous nieces & nephews; and a host of friends.
