James Christopher Hayze King

James Christopher Hayze Porter-King, 35, of Gainesville, Texas died on December 16,2025.

Chris was born in Weatherford, Texas on March 20, 1990. Chris grew up working in the family asphalt business for many years.

Chris had many talents, his passion was his artwork, he spent countless hours perfecting his artwork. He loved to gift family and friends with special pieces. Chris loved to laugh and make others laugh with his quick wit. He loved the time that he got to spend with his family, he cherished all the “little moments”. Chris left his mark everywhere he went, truly a one-of-a-kind, unforgettable person that will be dearly missed.

Chris is survived by his dad John T. King, grandmother Donna Porter, grandfather Jack Porter, sisters Hannah King, Particia Glud and brother in law Philip Glud, uncle Eric Roberts and wife Jessica, uncle Virgil Jones and wife Stacey, Uncle Carrie "bubby'" Porter. Nephews – Harrison Griffin, Levi Griffin, Phillip Glud, Jack Glud, nieces Azarra Graham, Madilyn Glud, Macy Glud. And many cousins.

He is preceded in death by his mother Lena Roberts, his dad James C. Porter, his son Jack C. Porter, uncle Curtis Porter, grandfather Joe Roberts, grandmother Mary King, grandfather Linford King, grandmother, Sandra Porter, Cousin Eric Roberts, and Cousin Danny “joe joe” Huff.
