James Edward Heil

1950 - 2022

James (Jim) Edward Heil went to be with the Lord Sunday, February 27, 2022, at his home in
Azle, Texas.
Jim was born in Yankton, South Dakota on January 22, 1950. His parents Raymond and
Dolores had five children. He attended Roncalli High School in Aberdeen, South Dakota and
graduated from college in Milwaukee before starting his family.
Jim loved the Lord, his family, fishing, cruises, attending his grandchildren and great
grandchildren's events, working on cars, and renovating his lake house. He never knew a
stranger and he loved to share stories about his family. Jim held numerous positions throughout
his career; he sold and supported testing equipment for various components in the electronic
industry in multiple Technical Sales, Marketing, and Engineering roles. He was very passionate
and successful in his career. His co-workers would often describe him as determined, dedicated
and tenacious.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Dolores Heil and his brother, Ron Heil.
He is survived by his sister Phyllis Biegler, sister Kay Mehlhaff and husband Rick, brother Mike
Heil and wife Shelley. His children are James and wife Janet Heil, Aaron and wife Marie Heil,
Tiffany and husband Kevin LeFevre, Nikki and husband Justin Leonard, Shane and wife
Sharron Heil, Emily and husband Eric Spenk. He had 14 grandchildren and 5 great
grandchildren. He also leaves his significant other Joyce Wright, and her children Kimi and Chris
Wright, and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Services are set to be Saturday March 12, 2022, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Azle, Texas at
10am. A Celebration of Life will proceed the ceremonies at his home.
