James Gideon Hackney passed away on March 4, 2021.

James was born on February 8, 1955 in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Weldon and Doris Hackney.  In 2004, he married Karen Williams.  James quickly accepted her two children into is heart as his own.  He definitely had a green thumb which drove love for horticulture.  James was a proud member of the Fort Worth Astronomical Society; through his telescopes, his family has shared many memorable sights together.  He could spend hours on the water fishing, but above all, James adored spending time with his family and friends.

He is preceded in passing by his parents.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Karen Hackney; children, Trisha Webster and husband Joe, Troy Webster; grandchildren, Faith Webster, Derek Webster, Brenna Webster, and Ayla Assavedo; sisters, Jean Goff and Sherry Smith; and a host of loving extended family and friends.
