James "Jim" Carrell
1939 -2022
Our beloved James "Jim" Mitchell Carrell, 82, passed peacefully in his home in Little Elm, Texas on the morning of February 18, 2022. His joy and love of laughter lasted through his final days.
Jim is survived by his wife Christine Carrell, daughter Pamela D. Peterson, grandchildren Ariel Peterson, Sean Peterson, and Lacey Hill, sisters Valita Cato, Jannette Cantrell, and brother Carl Carrell and proceeded in death by his son James M. Carrell Jr and grandson Maddison Peterson.
Jim was born in Manilla, Arkansas on April 17, 1939, to Virgil and Stella Carrell. He served in the Navy from 1957 to 1961. Jim married his lovely wife of 60 years, Christine, on December 15, 1961, in The Dalles Oregon where they lived and raised their family.
Jim worked as a welder/rigger for the Army Corps of Engineers at the Bonneville Dam for over 25 years and received numerous awards for his skill, dedication, and outstanding performance throughout his career. He loved to fish, hunt, and paint, but being a father and grandfather and making his friends and family laugh was truly what he enjoyed most.
