In Loving Memory of Jack Michael Stack
February 3, 1954 – September 27, 2025

Jack Michael Stack, 71, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. Born on February 3, 1954, to Jack and Arlene Stack, Jack was a true son of Fort Worth—rooted in his hometown values, guided by his faith, and strengthened by the bonds of family.
Raised Baptist alongside his three older sisters, Jack grew up in a household filled with love, faith, and a strong sense of right and wrong. From a young age, he showed the heart of a builder—both in his work and in the life he created with those he loved.
In 1971, Jack met Debra, the love of his life. One year later, in 1972, the two soulmates were married in Fort Worth and began their journey together. Over the course of 53 beautiful years, they built not just a family, but a legacy of love, resilience, and devotion. Through all of life's seasons, Debra remained Jack's constant—his partner, his anchor, his best friend.
Jack was the proud father of three children: Jimmie, Chad, and Jason. To his sons, he was a "Grizzly Bear"—a strong, steady, and sometimes stern presence—but always filled with deep, abiding love. When grandchildren arrived, the Grizzly Bear softened into "Pop," the warm-hearted Teddy Bear who delighted in every giggle, every game, and every hug. Pop was more than a grandfather; he was a hero, a teacher, and a friend.
A carpenter by trade and an artist at heart, Jack had a gift for creation. Whether he was painting, carving, or constructing something entirely from scratch—including building a house with his own two hands—his work bore the mark of his deep imagination and meticulous skill. His hands were always busy, his mind always curious. Gifted with a photographic memory and a love for learning, Jack was never afraid to explore the unknown, ask questions, or seek deeper understanding.
Above all, Jack Stack was a man who put his family first. Every board he nailed, every stroke of a brush, every word of advice, and every embrace—was given in love, for his family. His presence was a steady foundation, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved him.
Jack is survived by his beloved wife, Debra Stack; his children: Jimmie and wife Leticia Stack, Chad and wife Jana Stack, Jason and wife January Stack, and daughter Misty Nickols.Jack is lovingly remembered by his grandchildren: Ariel Strickland, Laurynn Gunnells, Arin Stack, Logan Stack, Evelyn Stack, Autumn Stack, and Wynter Stack, and by his great-grandchildren: Brooklynn Strickland, Caleb Strickland, and Benjamin Kirwin. He is also survived by his Sister Vicki & her husband Jackie Birch. He is also survived by many extended family members, and dear friends who were touched by his strength, kindness, and love.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Arlene Stack; his sister Brenda Pearson; and his sister Sandy O'Connel.
A visitation will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025, at 9:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM at Azle & Lake Worth Funeral Home, located at 850 N. Cardinal Rd, Azle, Texas, 76020.
Though Jack has laid down his tools, the things he built—his family, his legacy, his love—will stand strong for generations to come. We love you, Pop. Thank you for everything.
"Well done, good and faithful servant." – Matthew 25:23
