In Loving Memory of Harold Dean Pierce
1953 - 2025
With heavy hearts yet deep gratitude for the love he shared, we announce the passing of Harold Dean Pierce, who departed this life on February 21, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas. Born on April 30, 1953, in Bridgeport, Texas, to Herschel Pierce and Mildred Brown Pierce, Harold was a man of unwavering love, dedication, and an infectious spirit that touched the lives of all who had the privilege to know him.
From an early age, Harold's presence was magnetic—whether through his quick wit, sharp humor, or the kindness that radiated effortlessly from his soul. He grew up in a large and loving family, where he learned the values of loyalty, hard work, and generosity that would define the rest of his life.
A Life of Service and Dedication
After high school, Harold answered the call to serve his country, enlisting in the U.S. Army as a tractor-trailer truck driver. With pride and diligence, he carried out his duties until 1975, a chapter in his life that shaped his discipline, resilience, and work ethic. Following his honorable service, he embarked on a long and distinguished career with the City of Fort Worth, where he worked in waste management. Rising through the ranks to become a supervisor, Harold spent 25 years ensuring the city ran smoothly, earning the respect of colleagues and those he served.
Harold was a man who believed in showing up—not just in his career but in every aspect of his life. Whether it was for his family, his friends, or even strangers, he was the kind of person who could be counted on, without hesitation or complaint.
Love That Knew No Bounds
In September 2012, Harold's life took a beautiful turn when he met the love of his life, Anna Marie Glenn, at a karaoke bar—introduced by her eldest sister. From that moment on, they were inseparable. Their love was deep, unconditional, and unwavering. Harold embraced Marie's family as his own, proving time and again that love is not bound by blood but by the heart. He was not only a devoted husband but a father figure to Marie's children and a steady, loving presence in the lives of all who called him family.
Harold's kindness and acceptance knew no limits. When Marie's father fell ill with cancer, Harold took him into their home without a second thought, caring for him as if he were his own. This selflessness was not an exception but the very essence of who Harold was—a man who gave freely, loved deeply, and never hesitated to extend his heart to those in need.
Passions, Wisdom, and a Legacy of Laughter
Harold was a man of many passions, each one reflecting his zest for life. He had an undying love for classic cars, owning and restoring beauties such as an American Rambler and a '41 Chevy—because, in his eyes, nothing beat a good old Chevy. He loved the open road and the thrill of riding his motorcycle, the wind in his hair, and freedom at his fingertips.
Music was another of his great joys. Karaoke wasn't just a pastime; it was an extension of his soul. With a song in his heart and a microphone in hand, he brought joy to countless gatherings, his voice filling the room with warmth and nostalgia.
Despite his intelligence, Harold had a unique charm in downplaying just how sharp he truly was. He possessed an unrivaled street smarts that made him not only quick-witted but also a man of great wisdom—though he preferred to wrap his insights in humor and captivating stories. And oh, the stories! Harold always had a joke, a tale, or a mischievous grin ready to brighten any room. He was the kind of man everyone wanted to be around, not just because of his humor but because of the genuine warmth he exuded.
A Family Man Above All Else
Harold was never shy in expressing his love—his family meant everything to him. He beamed with pride for his grandchildren, showering them with affection and making sure they always knew how much they were cherished. He believed in the power of blended families, welcoming Marie's children with open arms and treating them as his own.
Harold leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. He is survived by his beloved wife, Marie Glenn; his son, Justin Pierce, and his wife, English; his cherished grandchildren: Easton Pierce, Octavia Pierce, and Chandler Cotroneo; and his great-grandson, Aiden Kime. His love extended to his step-grandchildren: Jacob Warner, Xayne Palin, Jared Junior Palin, Lillian Warner, Kaitlyn Warner, Emily Roberts, Lauren Kime, Melody Gullion, and Terrya Scott. He is also survived by his stepdaughters, Amanda Glenn and Jennifer Warner, as well as his stepson, Jared Palin, and his wife, Nikki. Harold's family further includes six nephews, several cousins, and a vast network of extended family and dear friends.
He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Herschel and Mildred Pierce, as well as his siblings, Mary Cromwell, Dorothy Allison, and Gerald Pierce. Though he has left this world, his spirit remains deeply woven into the lives of those he touched.
