In Loving Memory of Gwendolyn Nelle Connally
November 19, 1941 – August 7, 2024

Gwendolyn Nell Hall Connally, 82, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving children, on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, in Fort Worth, Texas. Born on November 19, 1941, to Lars Hall and Nellie Prine, Gwen was the oldest of eight siblings. She grew up in Lake Worth, Texas, where she cherished simple pleasures like playing bingo, taking road trips, listening to records, and watching old Western movies.

Gwen's legacy lives on through her family. She is survived by her daughters, Trina Mathis, Peggy Crain and husband Tommy Crain; her sons, Buddy Butcher and Andy Connally and wife Tamra Connally; and her daughter, Marcey Connally and husband Lance Patton. Her grandchildren—Kayla Mathis, Holly Lowe, Joshua Crain, Jeremy Crain, Kylie Martinez, Jessica Robinson, Ethan Connally, Alexis Longcrier, and Taylor Patton—along with six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, will always carry her memory in their hearts.

Gwen was preceded in death by her mother, Nell Gilley; father, Lars Hall; brothers, Larry Hall, Mike Hall, and Tony Hall; and her son-in-law, Tommy Mathis.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at an open visitation on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at 9:00 AM at Azleland Cemetery, located at 850 North Cardinal Road, Azle, TX 76020. A graveside service will follow at 10:00 AM, where Gwen will be laid to rest surrounded by those who loved her.
