Obituary

Glenn Alfred Hendrich went home to be with his Lord and Savior on November 17, 2020 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Glenn was born on Independence Day, July 4, 1953 to Ida and Alfred Hendrich in Wichita Falls, Texas. He married the love of his life, Gladys, and went on to have three children.  Glenn served ten years in the United States Air Force. He received a master's degree in political science.  Glenn became a professor at TCC, teaching History and Government. Glenn was the first recipient of The Glenn Hendrich Award of Innovation, an award that was named in his honor. He was a First Tee Instructor and Coach for fifteen years and was an active member of the Church of Christ. In his spare time, Glenn had a passion for golf, reading, history, pinochle and diamond art.

Glenn is preceded in death by his parents, Ida Maxine Armstrong Hendrich and Alfred Alvin Hendrich and his brother, Leonard Alvin Hendrich.

Left to remember his sweet smile is his loving wife of 46 years, Gladys Pauline Stroud-Hendrich; his daughters, Tina Jeane Nicholson and Kathy Bowden and husband, Eric; his son, Glenn Allen Hendrich and wife Angela; grandchildren, Michayla, Caityln, Trey, Grant, Sierra, Cole, Addison, and Nola.  Glenn also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews, and his puppy, Ziggy.

While the family is greatly saddened by Glenn's passing, they wish for all his friends and relatives come and celebrate his life. A life well lived.

A Visitation will be held on Friday November 20, 2020 at the Azle and Lake Worth Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

An additional Visitation will be held on Saturday November 21, 2020 at Western Hills Church of Christ from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday November 21, 2020 at Western Hills Church of Christ at 1:00 PM.

A Graveside service will follow at Azleland Cemetery.
