It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Glenice Gae McFadden Bostick. She passed peacefully on August 6th, 2025, after a long, hard fight with cancer.
Glenice was a dedicated wife and daughter, a cherished Aunt and great Aunt, sister and beloved friend. Glenice has been lovingly known by many as "Aunt Necie" to all her "kids" for more than 40 years. She had a passion for dogs, deer hunting, the Texas Rangers, spending time in her favorite place – the East Texas pines, and most of all spending time with all her "kids". Glenice never had any children of her own, but she lovingly helped raise her four nieces: Jennifer, Kelley, Camille and LeeAnna.
Glenice loved her family and friends deeply. She was the daughter of Mary Davis McFadden and Glen G. McFadden – married for 71 years, and the youngest child of three children.
Glenice was born in Mansfield, Louisiana on November 24th, 1957. She lived in Logansport, Louisiana for first through fourth grade, until moving to Carthage, Texas and attending school as a Carthage Bulldog. She graduated from Carthage High school in 1975. After high school, Glenice furthered her education and went to Panola College for 2 years, followed by an additional 2 years at Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in education.
After college, Glenice worked at Panola General Hospital in Carthage for 2 years. On April 27th, 1984, Glenice married her loving husband, Warren Bostick. After marriage, Glenice and Warren moved to Azle, Texas to start their lives together.
After moving to Azle, Glenice went to work as a loyal and valued employee at Texas Health Resources (THR) at their Azle Hospital. She worked at THR from 1986 to 2024 and retired on July 11, 2024, after more than 38 years as a Patient Access Services Supervisor.
Glenice is survived in death by siblings Terry McFadden, Glenda Dodd and husband Dave Dodd; sister in laws Denise Bostick and Elizabeth Adams; brother in law, Bobby Bostick; nieces Jennifer Berquist and husband John Berquist, Camille Cryer and husband Ryan Cryer, LeeAnna Bostick-Duff and husband Jimmy Duff; nephew Cody McFadden; and great nieces and nephews Dakota Berquist, Mikayla Mandrell, Justin Seward, Vanessa Bostick and Cooper Bostick-Duff.
Glenice was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Bostick; her parents, Glen and Mary McFadden; and niece, Kelley Mandrell.
A service to celebrate Glenice's life will be held at Azle and Lake Worth Funeral Home on August 23, 2025, at 1:00 pm located at 850 N. Cardinal Rd in Azle. All are welcome to join.
Glenice will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of us all forever.
