In Loving Memory of Gary Bob Clark 1962-2025
Gary Bob Clark passed away on August 19, 2025, at the age of 62.
He was born the youngest of three siblings to parents Bobby Joe (BJ) and Betty Clark of Azle, TX. His father BJ was instrumental in the growth of Azle and the owner of Clark's Precision Machine & Tool, where Gary worked as a machinist. Gary inherited from his father a deep love for his hometown and a passion for building. Gary was the owner of Clark's Construction, Inc., a concrete contracting business, as well as a project manager and estimator, working often with his lifelong best friend John Hunt.
Gary never met a stranger and didn't have a shy bone in his body. He lit up every room with his outgoing energy and playful demeanor. He loved to tease others, rile people up, and ruffle their feathers. You never knew if he was serious or joking, but at his core was a very giving nature. He was always willing to help a friend in need. If he couldn't help you, he knew who could, and he was always connecting people. He was deeply generous to everyone he knew, especially his children, for whom he would do anything.
Gary is survived in death by his sons Brent Clark and daughter-in-law Aimee, Brad Clark, his step-daughter Nicole and their mother Lisa; his step-daughter Makayla and her mother Kandi; his grandchildren Jaden, Aubrey, and Maddie; his sisters Marilyn Dority and Ann Clark-Hengstler; his nephews Kenneth Dority, Lance Bates, and Jason Bates; his nieces Heather Dority, and Krysta Stone and her children; and countless other friends and family.
Gary will be having a funeral service, Tuesday August 26th @10:00 AM at Azle & Lake Worth Funeral Home, located at 850 N. Cardinal Rd, Azle, Texas 76020.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked to please consider donating to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
