Garry Dero Pruitt, a skilled mechanic and adventurer, passed away on June 13, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of expertise and a zest for life. Born on September 25, 1960, in Fort Worth, Texas, Garry was the beloved son of Edna May Pruitt and Charles Weldon Pruitt.

From an early age, Garry displayed an innate talent for fixing things. His passion for mechanics led him to establish his own successful mechanic shop, where he became renowned for his ability to repair anything he set his hands upon. He approached every challenge with determination and expertise, earning the respect and admiration of his customers and peers alike. Beyond his professional pursuits, Garry had a profound love for adventure. He found solace and joy in the skies, relishing the freedom of flying his ultralights and airplanes. Garry's enthusiasm for exploration extended to the waters as well, where he found fulfillment in remodeling boats and motor homes, turning them into vessels of adventure and comfort for fellow enthusiasts.
Garry was a man of unwavering dedication and commitment. His strong work ethic and passion for his craft were unparalleled. He took great pride in his ability to bring life back to broken machinery and vehicles, ensuring that others could enjoy their own adventures without worry. He has been reunited with his parents and his brother, Larry Gene Pruitt, in God's Eternal Kingdom.

Garry will be deeply and lovingly missed by children, Garry Pruitt Jr. and wife, Kristin of Alaska, and April Mitchell and husband, Randall of Decatur, TX; brothers, Weldon Pruitt of Clifton, TX and John Ingram of Bowie, TX; sister, Brenda Pitchford of Keene, TX; grandchildren, Ryker Pruitt, Karisma Mitchell, and Alyssa Mitchell; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at Azle & Lake Worth Funeral Home at 9:00 AM followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00 AM.
