Enrique Gutierrez

1953 - 2022

Enrique Gutierrez, beloved husband, father, son, and friend, went to be with the Lord on August 17, 2022.  He was born in Pearsall, Texas to Santiago and Natividad Gutierrez on July 16, 1953.  Enrique married the love of his life, Eileen Schaul, and together raised four beautiful children.   He was a true handyman and tried to teach his children all of his tips and tricks so they could handle tasks on their own. Enrique spent hours working on old cars and attending car shows. His pride and joy lied in his 1957 Chevy Bel Air that he restored on his own.  He enjoyed watching movies, but every Football Sunday you were sure to find him cheering on his favorite team, The Dallas Cowboys.  Enrique enjoyed scouring different estate sales to find the best deals, "it was ninety-nine cents". He was a great musician and played the guitar and accordion.  Above all, Enrique enjoyed the time he spent with his family and friends.

He has been reunited with his son, Mark Gutierrez; father, Santiago Gutierrez; and in-laws, Joseph and Helen Mae Schaul, in God's Eternal Kingdom.

Enrique will be deeply and lovingly missed by his wife, Eileen Gutierrez; daughter, Jennie Gutierrez; son, Jeffrey Gutierrez and husband, Jeffrey Brown; daughter, Denise Colberg and husband, Bill; mother, Natividad Gutierrez; grandchildren, Monroe Colberg and Drake Gutierrez; brothers, Eddie Gutierrez and wife, Vickie, and Santiago Gutierrez Jr.; sisters, Jessie Kress, Yolanda Tamayo, and Elsa Beauchamp; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended families and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Azle and Lake Worth Funeral Chapel beginning at 1:00 PM with a Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 PM.  Interment will be held at Azleland Cemetery & Memorial Park.
