Emmett Lafayette Hartsfield Jr., a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on February 8, 1940, in Hobbs, TX, He was the warehouse manager and later served as the general manager and part owner of Corona Plumbing Supply.

A true outdoorsman, Emmett loved spending time fishing, golfing, and hunting. His remarkable achievements on the golf course, including scoring two hole-in-ones at Cross Timbers Golf Course, are fondly remembered by those who knew him. Emmett was also an avid traveler and enjoyed frequent trips to the casino. In his downtime, he could often be found tinkering around his shop or proudly showing off his collection of Cushman scooters.

Family was at the heart of Emmett's life. He is survived by his devoted children, Tony Hartsfield and his wife Kim, Lori Cargill and her husband, Scott, and Lisa Brown and her husband, Steve. He found joy in his grandchildren-Andrew, Abigail, Logan, Landon, Chris, and Sydney-and was a proud great-grandfather to Carter Hartsfield and Hayden Bryant. Emmett also leaves behind his sister, Opal Cobb, plus many more family and friends.

Emmett's vibrant spirit and love for life will always be remembered. His funeral will take place on August 14, 2026, at 1:00 PM at 850 N. Cardinal Rd, Azle, TX 76020, where family and friends will gather to celebrate the extraordinary life he lived. Public visitation will be from 12:00-1:00 PM.

Emmett was preceded in death by: father Emmett Hartsfield Sr., mother Hattie Huffman, his beloved wife Linda Hartsfield, and many half siblings.
