In Loving Memory of Eddie Marie Taylor
1935 - 2024
Eddie Marie Taylor, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on June 14, 2024. She was born on March 17, 1935, in Marion, Louisiana, to Perry and Eddie Marie Edwards.
Eddie was a woman of many passions. Her love for her family was unparalleled, and she cherished her role as a grandmother above all else. She was always there for her grandkids, and was always their biggest cheerleader. In her quiet moments, Eddie found solace in sewing and tending to her rose garden. She had a green thumb and her garden was testimony of just that.
Traveling was another passion that filled her heart. She explored the backroads of Louisiana and Arkansas, often accompanied by her grandkids, to visit relatives. These trips were more than just visits; they were opportunities to create lasting memories with family. She loved to travel to Branson, Missouri, where melodies and laughter lifted her spirits while attending shows.
Eddie Marie's unwavering faith was evident throughout her life. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and faithfully attended services at the Davis Blvd. Church of Christ. The annual church camp in Missouri was a highlight for her—a time of fellowship, reflection, and spiritual growth while spreading God's love.
After her own children had grown, Eddie embarked on a new adventure. Alongside her dear friend Shirley Thomas, she ran a successful house cleaning service. Their work ethic and warm personalities made them trusted and beloved by their clients.
Eddie Marie Taylor leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and resilience. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
She has been reunited with her parents; her son, Brent Allen Taylor; brothers, James and Roy Burson; sisters, Willie Lee Sheppard, Mary North, Sarah Fitzgerald, and V.C. Brister; and son-in-law, Steven D. Lasater.
Eddie will be deeply and lovingly missed by her husband of 65 years, Franklin D. Taylor; son, James F. Taylor and wife, Laura; daughter, Ramona M. Lasater; brother, Perry Edwards Jr.; grandchildren, Leah R. Anthamatten and husband, Tim, Clinton W. Taylor and wife, Yveht, Paige L. Hybert and husband, Jeremy, Heath A.
