Douglas Perry Williams Sr. 1940-2021
Douglas Perry Williams Sr, 81 passed peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 4 ,2021. He was born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina on February 2, 1940. In his late 20's he moved to Texas which is the place he would call home until he went to be with the Lord. He was a vibrant spirit and had a way about him that would brighten anyone's day. His passion for cars led him into a lifetime career of car sales. He loved Cadillacs and Johnny Cash. We spent many Sundays' riding in his Cadillac listening to many of Johnny Cash's hits, but his favorites were Man in Black and a Boy Named Sue. He enjoyed life to the fullest and will be forever in our hearts! He was proceeded in death by his parents; Saul and Lucille Williams, his 3 brothers; Donald, Boyce and Kenneth Williams, his sister; Jackie Jackson and his oldest daughter, Lyn Browder. He's survived by his daughter Jennifer and husband Cody of Aledo, his son Doug and wife Jamie of Justin and his daughter Melissa and husband Israel of Fort Worth. He's also survived by 10 beautiful grandchildren: Timothy, Travis, JJ, Blake, Damyean, Rayah, Kyler, Lorenzo, Makayla, and Nevaeh.
While the family is very saddened by the passing of Douglas, they celebrate and rejoice his reunion with the members of his family that passed before him at his new home in the kingdom of heaven. Those that knew and loved Douglas are invited to come celebrate his life with the family on Saturday August 7,2021 at Azle & Lake Worth Funeral Home and Cemetery at 850 N Cardinal Rd, Azle, Tx 76020.
