Obituary

Dominga Rangel

1932 -2022

Dominga was born on April 7, 1932, to Manuel and Jocie Rangel in Dawson, Texas. On December 28, 2022, at the age of 90 and after a brief battle with cancer, she was called to her eternal home with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He surely greeted her with open arms and said, "Well done, my good and faithful servant."

Dominga resided in Fort Worth for most of her life but also lived in Chicago, Illinois and Boise, Idaho. She was married to Ricardo Rangel from 1960 to 1966 and had four children. She was a gifted seamstress and she enjoyed making gifts for her loved ones. She also liked to cook. Her specialty was tamales and she loved teaching her grandchildren how to bake. Dominga was passionate about her faith and shared the Lord's Prayer with every person she encountered. She always had a song in her heart and loved to sing original worship songs at church. In recent years, Dominga had lost her vision and was hard of hearing but enjoyed listening to worship music and preaching on the Daystar Television Network. Dominga lived by the scripture "pray without ceasing" and for the last 25 years of her life, stayed up all night, every Friday night to pray over her family, friends and church. She was a woman of unwavering faith.

Dominga is survived by her sisters, Odie Rangel, Mary Mena, Hope Merza and Rosie Martinez; her brothers, Joey Rangel and Gilbert Rangel, children Linda Rangel, Ricardo Jr. (Lisa) Rangel, Mary Frances (Tony) Gomez, Clara (Richard) Reyes; her grandchildren, Robert Rangel, Victor (Linda) Rangel, Henry Jr. Rangel, Ivy LaShon (Sven) Gerjets, Shanelle Reyes, Tara (Brian) Martinson, Crystal (Mace) Meier; and great-grandchildren Caleb, Hayden, Dillon and Justine Rangel, Austin and Brayden Martinson.
