IN LOVING MEMORY OF

Wood

Debbie Ann Wood
1955 - 2022
Debbie Ann Ewing was brought into this world on October 22, 1955. Debbie was raised in a household of love with her siblings by her parents, James Elmor and Frances Marie Ewing. Debbie returned to her eternal home in the Kingdom of Heaven to be reunited with her Lord and Savior on January 20, 2022.
Debbie loved the simple things in life. She enjoyed making people smile and cherished every precious moment of life with her family. Family meant everything to Debbie and there was nothing that she would not do to help them. Together with Chip Wood, her husband of over thirty years, she raised three beautiful children, seventeen grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren. Debbie retired from her work career with J.C. Penny's.
Debbie was very kind-hearted, and she was quick to find forgiveness. She was never one to hold a grudge or really even an unkind thought about anyone. She was passionate about her ancestry and was proud to be a Choctaw Native American. Hobbies came and went with Debbie, but the one link to all of her hobbies, whether it was collecting thimbles or shot glasses, she loved the idea of travel. She would ask anyone that did travel to bring her a thimble or shot glass with the state logo on it. It was her way of seeing the world! When the kids were younger, she loved to take them camping and fishing. No matter what she was doing with them, her greatest joy was just being with them. She was immensely proud of all her family and was a very tender and nurturing mother.
Debbie is survived by her brother, Jerry and his wife, Sarah Ewing; her brother, Jim and his wife Kim Ewing; her daughter, Amie Crawford; her daughter, Kreestay Wood; her son, Josh Wood; her former husband, Chip Wood; her seventeen grandchildren and her twenty-four great grandchildren.
Debbie was preceded in death by both of her parents and grandparents.
