In Loving Memory of David Wayne Elser

February 14, 1960 – October 10, 2026

David Wayne Elser, born on February 14, 1960, in Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on October 10, 2026, leaving behind family and loved ones who will forever hold his memory in their hearts.

David was a man who often preferred the quiet of his own company. He found comfort in the simple things in life, especially relaxing and watching old Westerns. There was something fitting about his love for those classic stories, with their tales of strength, loyalty, and standing firm in what one believes. David was a man of deep passion who felt things strongly and was never one to be indifferent about the things that mattered to him. He had his own way of seeing the world, his own thoughts and convictions, and a spirit that was uniquely his.

Though David may have kept to himself much of the time, his life was part of a much larger story woven together with the lives of those who knew and loved him. Every person leaves behind memories, moments, and pieces of themselves that continue to live on in the hearts of others. David's life was no exception. His presence, his personality, and the memories shared with him will remain a part of his family's story for years to come.

David is survived by his beloved mother, Judy Marie Hembree; his son, Anthony Morofsky; his brothers, Ken Elser and Jimmy Dean Elser; and his former wife, Susan Morofsky. Each of them carries their own memories of David, and each will remember him in their own way. May they find comfort in the years they shared, the moments that brought them together, and the knowledge that the bonds of family and love remain even after a life has ended.

He was preceded in death by his father, Douglas Elser, and his nephew, Dusty Elser, whom he now joins in eternal rest.

As we say goodbye to David, we are reminded that every life is its own journey, filled with its own struggles, joys, convictions, and quiet moments. No two people walk through this world in quite the same way, and David lived life on his own terms. Though words can never fully capture a person's life or the complexity of who they were, we honor David for the person he was and the place he will always hold in the hearts of those who knew him.

May David find peace beyond this life, free from the burdens of this world, and may those who mourn him find comfort in their memories and strength in one another. His story here has come to an end, but the memories he leaves behind will continue to live on.

Rest peacefully, David Wayne Elser. May you find the quiet, the comfort, and the peace that every soul deserves. You will be remembered, you will be missed, and you will always be a part of the people whose lives you touched.
